Unlock Innovation, in collaboration with NZTech, would like to understand more about the issues surrounding unrecognised and underutilised dyslexic talent in New Zealand.

  • In 2022, we partnered with Canterbury Tech and received MBIE funding for a research program.

  • A workshop series with tech companies and interviews with dyslexic individuals revealed key insights.

Our series of five surveys focuses on gaining a comprehensive understanding of the issues at hand and identifying ways to support leaders, managers, coworkers, and dyslexic individuals in the workplace. Our goal is to empower organisations to harness the innovative potential that dyslexic individuals possess.

The Hidden Potential of Dyslexia

The aim of this survey was to investigate the presence and challenges of dyslexia within New Zealand's tech sector, with a focus on understanding the extent of unrecognized dyslexic talent and identifying opportunities to better support and harness this talent.

Survey Two

Enhancing Dyslexic Inclusion in the Workplace

This survey aims to gather insights on the perspectives of individuals regarding dyslexia in the workplace. Focusing on understanding the challenges faced, preferred support mechanisms, and managerial strategies to enhance the performance and inclusion of dyslexic individuals within organisational settings.
