Five years of research in the workplaces of New Zealand has shown there is more work to be done!

Our research study:

The Hidden Potential of Dyslexia - complete

Stage 01.

In 2022, we partnered with Canterbury Tech and received MBIE funding for a research program.

A workshop series with tech companies and interviews with dyslexic individuals revealed key insights.

Our two surveys focused on gaining a comprehensive understanding of the issues at hand and identifying ways to support leaders, managers, coworkers, and dyslexic individuals in the workplace. Our goal is to empower organisations to harness the innovative potential that dyslexic individuals possess.

Enhancing Dyslexic Inclusion in the Workplace

Stage 02.

This survey aims to gather insights on the perspectives of individuals regarding dyslexia in the workplace.

Focusing on understanding the challenges faced, preferred support mechanisms, and managerial strategies to enhance the performance and inclusion of dyslexic individuals within organisational settings.

With your help we can complete this vital research and change the workplace for both people with dyslexia and the businesses they work in!

Testimonials:

"We have been excited to partner on this dyslexia pilot ... Personally I have learnt a substantial amount as a participant (particularly given the important representation of dyslexic thinkers in our community) and I think that this body of work has the opportunity to not only open minds and career pathways into tech, but also gives us the awareness to be significantly more inclusive in our practices as an employer."

Human Resources Leader

"The work that this pilot programme is doing is absolutely essential in both solving the shortage of prospective employees in our industry, as well as, and most importantly, ensuring that neurodiverse people in our country are able to find the fulfilling careers they deserve and will in fact excel at."
